Welcome to The Bright Idea Studio, also known as the art room at Santa Barbara Christian School. We strongly believe that fine arts are an integral part of learning and can improve children's grades and give them an outlet to express their creativity. We see God as the greatest Creator and we use our art to honor him! "In the Beginning, God Created"... Genesis 1:1

The Bright Idea Studio
is open after school to
all children
in our community that want to learn and improve their art
skills. Our classes are for ages 7-14 and we teach kids
about various methods & techniques of studio art including:

All art classes are taught by a fully credentialed
teacher and class sizes are kept small to ensure that each child
gets individual attention. We use real art supplies and
materials which are all included in all our classes and
camps. After school Art classes are taught in the Santa Barbara

SBCS believes in the value of a
comprehensive fine arts program
that is taught by a credentialed Art Teacher. Students at SBCS
study about artists, art history and explore many
different mediums including, watercolor and acrylic
painting, chalk pastels, oil pastels, color
pencils, pens and markers, clay, and collage. We try, when possible, to integrate art with other subjects like language arts, science, history, and bible. Middle school curriculum includes a more in depth study into Renaissance Art, Roman and Egyptian Art, American Artists, and the French Impressionists. Click here to |
